For FHE tonight the kids and I decided to make cookies, yummy. They really wanted to carve their pumpkins but I've been trying to hold them off on that until Dan is home since last year Savannah ended up with stitches in her finger during our pumpkin carving FHE. SO this year we are waiting for Dan to be around to help us out. Decorating cookies was a good alternative and a much tastier one I must say. The kids each had to take turns adding different colors of food coloring so we ended up with this appetizing green. I couldn't resist taking this picture of the kids waiting for the cookies to get done.

ALOHA
Today my siblings and I threw a big PARTY for my Moms 60Th birthday and for my Dad retiring from the car lot. It was Luau style. The party was supposed to be in my back yard but due to the crazy cold weather we moved it to my parents garage. So we ended up decking out the garage to look like a LUAU. Everything turned out so great. We had a huge turn out of our family, about 50 adults and 40 kids, we had amazing food, 2 pinatas, and great conversation. Most everyone came wearing their luau attire. I personally haven't been to Hawaii so I went to the DI and found a pretty sweet floral dress, mu mu style (it made me look about 250 lbs and over 50 years old but hey it was 4 bucks, what can you expect). Warning, I put a ton of pics on the blog of our party so this might take you a while to look through. There were just so many cute shots of everyone I narrowed it down as much as I could. It was so much fun having so much family there with us today. I've said it before and I'll say it again.. I think I have the best family in the world.

Grandma being the great Grandma that she is promised the kids that they could go to the dollar store after the party. Needless to say they picked out some pretty sweet things there including these darling wigs. You can't beat the dollar store.

Cooking Class
My kids have been on a fun kick lately..they've wanted to be in the kitchen helping me cook dinner. Its been a ton of fun having them in there with me. I think I hear more about their school day when their helping me then I was in the past. Yes, dinner is taking a little longer to get ready but it has been worth it. Good times.

Beckee Home-ec-ee
My mom and I decided to start canning some chicken. We're trying to make this a weekly thing until all of our chicken is canned. We both have a ton of chicken legs from when a semi rolled that was full of chicken and we both got a freezer full of it so we need to do something. Yesterday I made some chicken noodle soup with our canned chicken and it was delicious. Move over Martha here comes Angie.

A week with the Caziers
PINEWOOD DERBY
Tuesday night was our pinewood derby. The kids (and dads) had a blast. Josh tied for 1st place. He was so pumped. He actually should have gotten 2ND because he lost the final race by a 1/2 inch but they gave out 2 first place prizes so I just told the other parents that I paid off the judges, works for me. Josh was so shocked and happy to get 1st place too, it was great.
From the picture you can see how close the final race was. They should have one of these a year for the dads too.

The 2 proud winners!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!! Can you believe it she is 60! She is going to kill me for putting that on my blog but what can I say, I have to brag it up that she is looking so amazing even after being so old (just kidding mom, love you, 60 is sounding younger every year). I can't say enough about my mom. She is my hero, my best friend and my example of everything I want to be. My mom has a smile that can light up a room, she has a way of making everyone feel loved, she's always finding a way to help someone out, she's an amazing cook, I can chat for hours on the phone with her about no particular thing, she's the one that calms me down when I'm mad at something (and usually points out how I'm in the wrong too), she's been my shoulder to cry on, my rock, a true example of love and kindness, her testimony of our Savior strengthens mine, she is beautiful inside and out, and she will drop almost anything to help her kids out. I adore my mom and I am so grateful to her for the example she is to me, I just hope that I can be half the woman she is. I love you Mom, Happy Birthday.
Sheri made this scrumptious Lemon cake, can you say Yummy! Sheri's sure become a great cook. After all of the horrible baking experiments she put me through as a kid who would have guessed she would turn into such a great baker, hmmmm. I'm so proud.
4 amazing, beautiful women and 1 sweet baby.
SWISS DAYS WEEKEND
This past weekend was the annual Santa Clara Swiss days. It was a great day. I ran the 5k in the morning with a couple of friends. Then went home to shower before the parade and activities. It was supposed to be overcast on Saturday, which I was looking forward to but no it was blazin' hot. The day was still good though. I had 2 of my cousins kids, Mitch and Adam, for 5 days while they were in Cancun so they came with us. The kids had a blast at the parade and games. There were a ton of cute craft and jewelry booths but by the time we got done using all of the activity tickets I was ready for an air conditioner. I guess that saved me money, I was too hot to shop, crazy. We took off and hung out at home for awhile. My bro Rob was up from Phoenix so he came over and chilled with us. We watched Walk The Line that night, it was pretty good. It was nice to have a relaxing weekend. Adam and Mitch left on Wednesday. We had a ton of fun with them. They are darling boys. Spence woke up this morning looking for Adam, he was so bummed he wasn't here. We'll have to have them over again soon.
